I think the early evidence around prebiotic supplements is interesting as it shows the that microbiome plays a role in how we feel (as we aren't able to digest fibre on our own). Where a prebiotic supplement might come more powerfully into play is for those who aren't getting enough fibre, though we do need more evidence before we can support it as a recommendation for mood
